We don't earn a cent on the gifts. The full amount goes to the parent (Collect) or to the child's portfolio (Invest), minus only what Mollie actually charges to process the payment. The small subscription keeps the page running, and on Invest we charge 1% per year on the first €5.000 of the invested balance, 0.5% per year on anything above.

Eighteen years of contributions at €200 per year, invested in a global ETF averaging about 8% annually. All fees are already inside the numbers below. Past returns don't guarantee future ones.
On Invest, we charge 1% per year on the first €5.000 of the invested balance and 0.5% per year on anything above. That's the whole fee on the invested money. No exit fee, no performance fee, no rebate clawbacks.
We split the rate so the fee stays gentle on small accounts (the early years, when there's not much in there yet) and stays small as a percentage on large ones. The fee covers hosting, the connection to Saxo Bank, and the work of keeping the platform running for the next eighteen years.
Example: a child's account with €8,000 in it pays €65 per year. €50 on the first €5,000, plus €15 on the next €3,000. The fee is taken from the account directly, in monthly slices.
Free is a sandbox. You put your own card on file, fund your own page, and see exactly what lands. No third-party gifts, no recurring, capped at €100 total per page. So you can prove the flow works to yourself before asking grandma. Your URL is auto-assigned from our placeholder pool (something like FromUs.to/our-little-one).
Collect is the page family actually uses. Anyone can contribute notes, photos, or money. Cash gifts land in your connected bank account, untouched by us. Memory book stays open. URL is still auto-assigned on this tier.
Invest is the same page, plus auto-invest, plus you finally pick your own URL (your child's name, a nickname, anything you'd want printed on a card). Money gifts go straight into VWCE through a Saxo Bank sub-account in your name. The portfolio is the child's. They access it at 18. Family writing a message on the page also get an optional AI helper that asks a few short questions and drafts a personal note, so even the uncle who hates writing has something warm to send.
On every paid tier, FromUs charges €0 on the gift. The full amount lands minus only Mollie's actual processing cost, which varies by payment method:
Wero (instant bank transfer): under €0.10. SEPA: around €0.25. iDEAL: around €0.29. Bancontact: around €0.39. Card (Visa / Mastercard / Apple Pay): around 1.8% plus €0.25.
The giver sees the exact number before confirming. The parent's payout descriptor carries a per-gift reference (like FU-2026-0042) so a €100 sender and a €100 received line up cleanly on the bank statement.
Through 31 January 2027, every Invest payment earns the kid's portfolio a bonus equal to the gap between Invest and Collect: €1 on each monthly payment or €9 on each yearly payment. So if you upgrade from Collect to Invest, you pay the same out-of-pocket and your kid gets the upgrade.
The bonus is reserved on payment and transfers to the kid's Saxo sub-account 30 days later. This is the standard verification window covering the EU 14-day cooling-off period and most card chargebacks. If the subscription is refunded or charged back inside that window, the bonus is voided and no money moves.
After 31 January 2027 we stop creating new bonuses. Anything already earned still pays out on its 30-day clock.
We charge 1% per year on the first €5.000 in the account, and 0.5% per year on anything above. The fee covers hosting, the connection to Saxo Bank, and the work of keeping the platform running.
Example. An account with €8,000 pays €65 per year: €50 on the first €5,000, plus €15 on the next €3,000. An account with €4,000 pays €40. An account with €100,000 pays €525. The fee is taken from the account directly, in monthly slices.
Vanguard's own 0.22% annual fund cost is separate. That's not ours, it's Vanguard's, and every index investor pays it.
Upgrade to Collect or Invest from your settings. The page, the slug, the memory book and your test gifts stay exactly as they are. The only thing that changes is that other people can now contribute and recurring gifts switch on.
On Collect and Invest, the public URL pauses and the memory book is locked. Nothing is deleted. You can reactivate any time and pick up exactly where you left off.
On Invest, the invested money is held in a Saxo Bank sub-account in your name. We don't custody it. Even if FromUs vanished tomorrow, you would still have direct contact with Saxo and the money would still be yours.
Each child gets their own URL and their own page. Up to five URLs per account, each at the regular per-URL price. Each child also has their own Saxo sub-account on Invest, so the portfolios stay cleanly separated.
Yes, on Collect and Invest. Every new account gets a 14-day free trial. If you arrived via a referral link, you get another two weeks on top, so four weeks free. No card is required to start.
Yes. After signup, your dashboard shows every gift the page has received, what Mollie charged on each one, and (on Invest) what we took at the last year-end. Nothing is bundled or rounded.
It takes about a minute. You can upgrade or downgrade any time.
