Three tiers. Free to try with your own card (capped at €100 lifetime). Collect at €3/month for the page family contributes to. Invest at €5/month for the same, plus auto-invest into a global ETF. Memory book messages are free. Money gifts carry no FromUs gift fees; only what Mollie actually charges is deducted, and that varies by payment method. On Invest we charge a tiered annual fee on the invested balance: 1% per year on the first €5,000, 0.5% per year on anything above. Never on the contributions themselves.
You can cancel any subscription any time and we never delete your memory book. Disputes are governed by Dutch law.
FromUs.to is operated by Ben Sestig, based in Utrecht, the Netherlands. KvK registration to follow during MVP. Reach us at hello@fromus.to.
We are a thin layer on top of two regulated parties: Mollie handles payments (regulated by De Nederlandsche Bank), and Vanguard custodies the underlying ETF holdings. If FromUs ever stops operating, the parent retains their Mollie sub-merchant relationship and their Vanguard holdings directly.
A public page on FromUs.to that holds memories (written notes, photos and short videos) from the people who love your child. On Collect, the page also accepts money gifts that land in your connected Mollie bank account. On Invest, those money gifts are auto-invested into a Vanguard ETF held in a Saxo Bank sub-account in your name, with each child's share separately tracked.
The Free tier is for self-to-self test gifts only. It does not accept third-party contributions and does not include auto-invest.
Yearly equals monthly times 10. Pay for ten months, save two.
All prices are gross and include 21% Dutch VAT. The VAT line is broken out on every invoice.
The Free tier exists so a parent can put their own card on file and prove the flow works to themselves before asking family to contribute. Three rules:
Upgrading lifts every Free-tier limit immediately. The slug, the memory book and any test contributions are preserved as-is.
Zero FromUs gift fees at any tier where money gifts are available (Free, Collect, and Invest). The full amount lands, less only Mollie's actual processing cost on the day. That cost depends on the payment method:
Each contribution receipt shows the actual Mollie cost, the FromUs gift fee
(always €0.00) and the net amount that landed. Each gift also carries
a stable per-gift reference (like FU-2026-0042) so the parent's bank
statement, the giver's receipt and the dashboard line up cleanly.
KYC requirement: receiving third-party gifts requires Mollie KYC and a linked bank account on the page's account. This applies to Collect and Invest. Free does not require it because Free is self-to-self only.
Recurring contributions: on Collect and Invest, gifters can set up monthly contributions via SEPA Direct Debit without creating a FromUs account. Cancel any time, one-click, from any receipt email. Free does not accept recurring gifts.
On the Invest tier, money gifts buy units in VWCE (Vanguard FTSE All-World UCITS ETF, 0.22% TER), held in a Saxo Bank sub-account in the parent's name, with each child's share tracked separately. VWCE holds 3,700+ companies in 47 countries; Vanguard's 0.22% annual cost is deducted by Vanguard, not by us.
Tiered AUM fee: 1% per year on the first €5,000 of the invested balance, 0.5% per year on anything above. The fee is computed monthly as 1/12 of the annual amount on the balance at the start of each month, and debited from the account directly. Free and Collect have no AUM fee because they have no auto-invest.
Worked examples. An account holding €4,000 pays €40 per year (1% × €4,000). An account holding €5,000 pays €50 per year. An account holding €8,000 pays €65 per year (€50 on the first €5,000, plus €15 on the next €3,000). An account holding €100,000 pays €525 per year (€50 + €475).
Past performance does not guarantee future returns. The projected portfolio numbers shown on the pricing page assume the family contributes a steady amount every year and the historical 8% FTSE All-World long-run nominal return. They are illustrative only.
Cash-out notification email. When the invested funds for a child are cashed out, whether on the child's 18th, on early withdrawal at the parent's request, or by the second account holder (see below), we will send a confirmation email to every notification address the parent registered for the page. Parents may add or remove notification addresses at any time from their account settings; the registered address(es) are part of the audit trail for any subsequent dispute.
Two-adult ownership confirmation. Because the invested funds are held for the benefit of a child (a minor), every page is required to confirm that two adults are recognised as account holders, typically both parents or legal guardians. Both must provide a valid notification email at the time the first money gift is accepted. Material actions on the funds (cash-out, change of bank account on file, change of notification address) require either an explicit confirmation from both addresses, or an offline identity check, depending on the action. This is a deliberate guard against unilateral withdrawal of money that was gifted with the child's 18th in mind. Single-parent or sole-guardian households can register a trusted second adult (grandparent, sibling, lawyer, partner) in the same slot; we never require a marriage certificate or proof of custody, only a second reachable adult.
Messages, photos and videos are unlimited in everyday family use, with a fair-use cap of 1,000 items per year per page (combined) as a guard against automated bulk imports. This is well above any normal family's pace; if you're an unusual case, get in touch and we'll figure it out.
Per-item caps: photos up to 6 MB; videos up to 1 minute and 50 MB. Format restrictions are checked on upload.
Retention: we retain memory book content for at least 18 years from the page's creation, on EU-located servers (Strato), with daily backups. We never delete content while the account is active or paused.
Export any time: every message, photo and video your family has added is available to download from your account as your own copy. It's yours to keep whether or not you stay subscribed.
Tier differences: every tier supports messages, photos and videos. The 1,000-items/year cap is per page on every tier.
Refer a friend and earn +2 weeks free per qualified signup, with a banked-credit cap of 24 weeks at any given time.
We reserve the right to reverse referral credits if a referred account is later found fraudulent, refunded, or operating in violation of these terms. If a credited month has already been consumed, the reversal converts to a debt added to the next billing cycle.
Disposable email domains, alias normalisation (gmail dots / +tags), and same-payment-method matches are checked at signup; matched referrals do not credit.
We provide the service on a best-effort basis. We're a thin layer on top of regulated infrastructure (Mollie, Vanguard) and we're not the principals of either. Investment outcomes depend on the markets, not on us.
To the extent permitted by Dutch law, our liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the preceding 12 months. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses (lost profits, lost time, reputational damage) beyond what consumer law requires.
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights under Dutch consumer law.
We'll update these terms when the product evolves. Material changes (price changes, scope of service, refund policy) will be communicated by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Non-material changes (typo fixes, clarifications) take effect immediately and are dated in the "Last updated" line at the top of this page.
Continuing to use the service after a material change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms. If you don't accept, cancel before the effective date, no penalty.
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes that cannot be resolved by the ordinary consumer-rights channels go to the competent courts of Utrecht, the Netherlands.
Reach us any time at hello@fromus.to. We aim to reply within two working days.
